PK Memorial School Inter House Sports Meet.

The 2024 PK Memorial Primary School Inter-House Sports Competition

The PK Memorial Primary School in Magbaikoli village held its inter-house sports meet between the 4th to the 7th day of March 2024. The School had four (4) houses;  Orange (Sylvester Renner) House, Blue (Gibril and Maurisa) House,  Yellow (Edward Stevens) House,  and White (Professor Mohamed Sorie Mansaray) House.  These four houses contested for the championship in the school on different fronts.  

First, the School authorities organized a debating competition on the 4th of March, 2024. Here,  all four houses sent representatives to compete on their behalf to debate on a specific topic.  This day was set aside for a debating competition.  House masters trained their representatives before the competition and all the students attended the debating competition and supported the speakers of their various houses since the grades from the debating competition would form part of the final scores of the sports meet.  As expected, spectators from different places attended the debating competition and cheered on speakers who enticed them. 

Second, the School authorities organized a musical mimicking concert on the 5th of March, 2024. House masters of the Orange,  Yellow,  White,  and Blue Houses chose representatives among them who competed in the musical mimicking concert. Here, the selected students practised dance steps and music that had been sung by musicians and mimicked them on stage in the presence of fellow students and spectators who graced the occasion. Those who mimicked songs correctly were applauded by the audience while those who incorrectly mimicked songs were booed by opposing houses.  The grades from the musical mimicking competition formed a part of the final scores for the sports competition.  

Third was the inter-house sports competition that was organized on the 6th and 7th of March, 2024 at the Magbaikoli School field.  On these two days, the students from the four houses competed in different track events and were awarded scores for each track event.  As expected, spectators from different places and different works of life attended the sports meet and supported high-performing athletes.  At the end of the 2-day athletic competition, the grades from the debating competition, and Musical Mimicking competition were added to determine the champions of the PK Memorial Primary School Sports competition 2024. After collating all grades from the different events they competed in,  Orange (Sylvester Renner) House came first with 335 points,  Blue (Gibrill and Maurisa) House came second with 322 points, Yellow (Edward Stevens) House came 3rd with 290 points,  whilst White (Professor Mohamed Sorie Mansaray) House came 4th with 278 points.  

The PK Memorial Primary School sports competition was successfully organized without encountering problems. All those who attended the Sports Meet experienced a wonderful show of sportsmanship. The Sports competition was fully sponsored by the PK Memorial Foundation and its donor partners in the United States of America.  The entire students and the PK Memorial Primary School administration are grateful to the PK Memorial Foundation and its donor partners for sponsoring the sports competition which is beloved to be the best in their history.
